The awakening of hope

A war has begun, one that threatens everything the people value. Yet their perception of events is being manipulated by those who are greedy for power. Many people can't see the truth through the lies being pushed. Seeing today's truth takes courage, a clear mind and a keen sense of intuition at a time when most people have lost their connection to their inner knowing.

For too many villagers it's easier to look away from the truths that make them uncomfortable than it is to face them. They don't want to see things that reflect negatively on them. They just want their lives to go on the way they always have—peaceful, pleasant and protected from pain. What they fail to recognize is that the lives they love today were paid for with the blood of thousands of people yesterday who saw the truth and bravely sacrificed everything to uphold it.

But the spilled blood of the past upon which truth rests never disappears. Its absence lives in the collective consciousness, in stories of those who stood in witness to it, and in their descendants and their descendants for generations into eternity. Life has a way of upholding truth and history has a way of recording it. Truth can't be hidden or denied forever. It is always at hand and visible, seen by those with the clarity and courage to face it.

And so a battle is at hand between those who uphold truth and those who would deny it in HANARIA and the Sorcerer's War. The question is, which group is upholding truth and which is pushing a lie? If both sides believe they hold the truth that must be reckoned with, how is harmony restored?

Sadly, once it is begun the battle must be fought because it's the weak man's way of meeting his ego and the ego must be reckoned with for truth to be upheld. Yet the nature of life itself is to uphold balance and balance lives in truth, not in lies. Eventually, the truth will stand while the lies crumble.

What remains ahead for the people of the territories is yet unknown, as only the Goddess herself can feel it. But there are forces beyond the scope of mankind that can't be denied in the balancing of life. A slim hope lives in the territories, not in mankind, per se, but in the sanctity of life itself to uphold truth despite mankind.
